The Issues

BEEP

My family benefited from BEEP but we have two more children entering the program soon and we want to see it expanded and improved so that it is nearly universal for Brookline. Families deserve a full day program and should not have to pay for a public education.

Mental Health

The pandemic has been disastrous for everyone’s mental health and that is especially true for our students, teachers, and staff. We must expand mental health services and access to create the best environment for our school community.

Diversity

We should be doing more to ensure the student population and staff reflect the local community. This is particularly true amongst the staff where we have made efforts to recruit BIPOC candidates. We should take the next steps to aggressively recruit AAPI candidates as well as better understanding our LGBTQA+ community.
